There's nothing like handwritten calligraphy to top off a gorgeous invitation suite. The envelopes are the first thing your guests will see when your stationery comes in the mail, and an artist's touch can really set the tone for your oh-so-elegant affair.
Our favorite calligrapher of the moment is DC local Michele Hatty Fritz of Meant to Be Calligraphy. A true artist, our brides simply cannot stop raving about Michele's work, which ranges from clean & modern to traditional & classic. In addition to being ridiculously talented, Michele is prompt and efficient (important characteristics in any wedding vendor!) and will work with you to completely customize your calligraphy needs.
We're so excited to announce that Michele has offered to give one lucky reader a $100 credit towards envelope or escort card calligraphy! All you have to do is leave us a comment about why calligraphy would add the perfect final touch to your stationery, and we will pick a winner next week!
To see more of Michele's amazing work, check out her gallery here. Best of luck, lovely readers!

Calligraphy would be great in my wedding because it adds that special touch of class to my invitations. Its likt the icing on the cake to say this is the event you want to attend :)

As a teacher I always teach my children that first impressions are important! I feel adding this amazing talent to our cards will help make that first impression we are looking for!

Calligraphy is fantastic because it shows that you went the extra mile to put care into your invitations.

Great giveaway, I think calligraphy can add instant elegance even if you dont have the most elaborate invitations!

my bff is designing our invitations and i think hand written envelopes would perfectly suit their one-of-a-kindness.

I'm going to hand letterpress our invitations, but there's no way I can letterpress each of our guests' addresses. I would love to have the envelopes hand addressed so that each one is completely handmade and personalized. I think in this age of e-mail, receiving a letter with actual handwriting surprises people and brings some joy.

Calligraphy would be great for us as it would hopefully push our somewhat casual invitation set into the somewhat formal category. I may have let my fiance have a little too much control over picking the type of invitations that he liked. :)

This would be a great extra added detail, not only because I consider it art but also because my own handwritting is terrible.
