Before your wedding, there's often a focus on physical fitness to help you look and feel your best on the big day. We're big fans of yoga as a pre-wedding ritual because it's a workout for your mind, body, and soul-- all things that need to be nurtured especially during those busy pre-wedding months! Today, we are so excited to welcome Erin from Something Om Yoga, which specializes in yoga for brides-to-be.
We asked Erin to share a bit about her business and why she decided to specialize in wedding yoga-- take it away, Erin!

Hello Hitched ladies! First, I'll share a bit about myself and my passion for yoga. I love teaching yoga in general but have discovered that my favorite part is seeing the profound transformation in demeanor that can happen from pre to post class. I like seeing the yogi who was rushing in all harried before class leaving class slowly, visibly relaxed, with a sleepy smile.
Weddings are in an exclusive category of events that are extraordinarily stressful as well as extraordinarily fun for the participants. Before my own wedding, I found myself so excited but also worried about little details. When I finally decided that things were in motion to happen as they would, I let go and just had fun. Anything that can help brides reach that place sooner rather than later is a good thing whether it be a long shower, nap, massage, or yoga.
Bachelorette parties and bridal/couples showers are fun, but they too can come with stress. Often there are lots of people coming together who may not all know one another. The same awkwardness can be felt for out of town guests who are hanging around the hotel before the big event. Taking a class together distresses the situation and provides something to talk about after running out of questions to badger the bridal party with about the wedding. Why not do something creative and a little different than the standard pre-wedding events?
The best thing about yoga is that virtually everyone can do it. It isn't competitive, the poses can be modified to suit different people, and very rarely does someone say "Man, I wish I hadn't taken that hour to focus on my wellness."
Special Offer: Like my Facebook page and send me a Facebook message with "Hitched" in the subject line by April 30, 2014 to book an hour long class for up to 10 people for only $150 (subject to availability).
Thanks so much to Erin for stopping by! We hope you'll all take advantage of this amazing offer and enjoy some pre-wedding relaxation with
Something Om!
